Proposed Bylaws of The Minerals, Metals & Materials Society, Inc.

The Minerals, Metals, and Materials Society, Inc. (TMS) has been established with the vision of making it the professional society of choice for the worldwide minerals, metals, and materials community. It aims to raise the profession of global science and engineering related with minerals, metals, and materials. In terms of membership, anyone who applies, meets certain qualifications for membership and pay annual dues are eligible of becoming a member of the society (TMS). The Society's Board of Directors will have the task of handling property, affairs, and finances and shall approve the operating budget for the society, accept committee assignments and reports, fill any vacancies on the Board of Directors by appointing members for the balance of unexpired terms and many others. The society will have two classes of committees that include Board-of-Directors-Appointed Committees" and "Other committees"."
