摘要
Myocardial ischemia provoked by mental and emotional stress has been the focus of research for almost 40 years. In this paper, we briefly review the literature on this ischemic phenomenon, followed by a more focused review of research findings that have been disseminated over the past year. We use these reviews to highlight important issues concerning research methods, particularly the methods used to myocardial ischemia provoked by mental and emotional stress, along with outstanding questions that bear on clinical utility and integration. © 2014 Springer Science+Business Media New York.
