A procedure was suggested for one-step synthesis of quaternary phenyl isoquinolinium compounds labeled with tritium by direct phenylation with nucleogenic phenyl cations of the lone electron pair of the nitrogen atom in isoquinoline. © Pleiades Publishing, Inc., 2010.
