摘要
During the last decade, considerable advances in the understanding of the pathophysiology and in the development of diagnostic methods for gastrointestinal motility disorders have been made. The following review focuses on the motility of the small intestine and the colon and illustrates with three clinical examples (chronic intestinal pseudo-obstruction, irritable bowel syndrome, and slow-transit constipation) the diagnostic application and therapeutic impact of motility testing.
