New solutions are more and more needed due to the fact that new trends in technology, communication, global knowledge, new managerial approaches, building new types of partnerships, and other changing conditions in business and life create totally different situations and cause various problems. All these accompanying phenomena have impact on development of people and their skills and it is completely different than few years ago. The authors of this paper bring their own point of view on managerial skills for innovation support. They try to look at current chosen research trends within this topic and come to particular conclusions from their current research in innovation management. All changes and shifts cause new situations and it is necessary to adjust to them. One of the verified tools how to be prepared for these changes and how to react is the never ending process of education; it means long-life education and gaining new knowledge and innovation skills.
