Abstract: A method is proposed for determining the radius of curvature of transition curves in satellite-teeth profiles of planetary gears with internal engagement. The teeth are cut by a tool with a modified initial contour and are characterized by high flexural strength. The radii of curvature of tooth profiles cut by a standard tool and nonstandard (gear-shaping and rack) tools are compared. © 2021, Allerton Press, Inc.
