3D-incommensurate composite structures in (Rbx(NH4)(1 − x))2SO4 crystals

Detailed structural studies of (Rbx(NH4)(1 − x))2SO4 solid solutions have been performed. It is shown that the crystals consist of incommensurate composite phases. The newly discovered composite structures differ from the traditional composite phases—in the general case, the host and guest structures of these crystals are incommensurate along all the three crystallographic axes.
