摘要
The shock wave of the traveling mass of solar energetic particles causes geomagnetic storms that may disrupt the Earth’s magnetosphere. In the present paper, we have analyzed five major geomagnetic storms (disturbance storm time < −100 nT) observed during the maxima of solar cycle 24. The geomagnetic storms have been observed on August 06, 2011, September 26, 2011, October 25, 2011, March 9, 2012 and April 25, 2012 with disturbance storm time magnitude −113, −103, −123, −133, −107 nT, respectively. The solar and interplanetary parameters and their relationship with geomagnetic parameters have been investigated.
