The results of an investigation into the heat transfer in a turbulent water film that is conveyed by an airflow along the hydraulically smooth heat-transfer surface of a tube are presented. The effect of the liquid droplets entrained from the film surface on the final temperature of the coolants due to moisture evaporation from the surfaces of the film and the droplets, as well as due to their renewal, is established. The dependences are presented for calculating the heat-transfer coefficient. © Nauka/Interperiodica 2007.
