摘要
This paper reports the developing strength of cold mix asphalt (CMA) containing five fillers such as conventional stone dust (SD), rice husk ash (RHA), fly ash (FA), recycled concrete aggregate dust (RCAD) and recycled plaster dust (RPD). The mixtures are further treated with 0–5% (by mixture’s weight) cement content to report the optimum percentage of cement needed for each type of filler at a fixed dosage of premixing water and bitumen emulsion. The cement-treated mixes are found to be stiffer and stronger compared with the untreated mixes. The moisture resistance of cement-treated mixes is quite higher, which varies from 80.51 to 95%. The abrasion resistance is 12% and 13% for the mixes with FA and RPD filler, respectively, at 3% cement dosage which is the lowest among other treated and untreated mixes. The incorporation of FA and RPD into CMA has improved the stiffness and deformation resistance to 92.58% and 67.68% and 44.90% and 49.58%, respectively, after treating with 3% cement content. In this study, CMA with FA filler is the best suggested mixture when treated with 3% cement content. However, CMA with SD and RHA has enhanced the stiffness to 122.23% and 83.15%, respectively, after adding 4% cement content. This paper introduces a new composition of CMA having outstanding laboratory performance when added with different fillers and cement content.
