摘要
Short bowel syndrome is the most prevalent cause of pediatric intestinal failure. Recent advances in nutritional and surgical management of these patients have lead to an overall improvement in mortality. We review the short-and long-term management strategies, as well as the potential complications in short bowel syndrome patients. © Springer Science + Business Media New York 2016.
