摘要：
The authors of the article below set out the general structure of mathematical models of economic systems used to study national and regional economies. The paper also reviews findings obtained after 1997 to show how models were used at the earlier stages of Russian economic reforms. The article is based on the paper presented at an RAS Presidium meeting.
