Pierre Menard y la acronía de la recepción

This article deals with the way Borges' text prefigures the literary theories based on the phenomenon of reception and how it antedates the interplays of perspectives proposed by several postmodern theoretical projects. In so doing, I present the reading of Borges from the point of view of the Rezeptionästhetik, as well as a summary of the borgesian theory of precursors in its relationship to the act of reading. As a result of this approach I see in Borges' Pierre Menard a work of fiction that, far from being a mere parody of literary criticism, contains an important philosophical kernel that conceptualizes reading as the generator of meaning.
