摘要
In this paper, Ag-doped TiO2-loaded groundnut shell activated carbon (Ag:TiO2/GNSAC) is used as the photocatalyst for the removal of the rhodamine B (RhB) dye solution. The photocatalytic activity of TiO2, the effects of Ag doping, and GNSAC loading have been investigated. The XRD, UV-DRS, SEM with EDS, and BET analyses provided comprehensive descriptions of each sample. The optical features of the Ag-doped and GNSAC-loaded sample demonstrated a red shift in the light absorption and reduced the recombination rate of charge carriers. The photocatalytic efficiency of pure TiO2, Ag:TiO2, and GNSAC is found to be 63.91, 72.17, and 28.69% after 120 min sunlight irradiation, respectively. When Ag:TiO2 loaded GNSAC, its photocatalytic efficiency was highly improved to 98.69%. It as a photodegradation by Ag:TiO2/GNSAC has great potential and can be as a promising method for the treatment of pollutants in wastewater.
