摘要
The examination and design of a vehicle air conditioner were adjusted in this study by utilizing accessible diesel engine exhaust waste energy to produce the required heat for the turbocharger and a turbine attached to the refrigeration system's reciprocating compressor. The automotive air conditioning is one of the most system that heavily uses CFC compounds in modern cars. Cooling load for the automobile has been estimated and found to be within acceptable ranges which are about 1.37 TR. Engine Efficiency enhancement is essential to minimize the waste heat of the components and increases the COP. A modification for optimum design map of the vapor compression refrigeration in automobiles car by recovering the waste heat is performed. This paper aims to the system improvement by utilizing the waste heat energy and recovering the energy by using expansion of exhaust gas to circulate the turbine impeller driving the compressor of the refrigeration cycle system. This system was determined to be suitable and capable of producing the desired conditioning effect with no increase in engine load. The proposed technology reduces vehicle operating expenses and emissions created by the heating system, while also lowering global warming. The results show that the engine efficiency increased to about 42% compared to the cooling system directly connected to the engine, and the fuel consumption of the engine decreased by 17%. As for the cooling cycle, the coefficient of performance factor increased by 7%. Based on these results, we were able to find solutions to the energy wasting problems of the automobile air-conditioning system operating in the cabin cycle. © 2021, The Institution of Engineers (India).
