Pockels cells-based intensity modulation using multiple biasing signals on a single-carrier light beam

摘要
Pockels cells are massively used as electro-optic material for its electrically induced birefringence properties. Amplitude modulation of light is successfully implemented by using this Pockels material. Several proposals are already given by many authors, where the idea of amplitude modulation in electro-optic Pockels material is used to implement different optical switching operation. In this paper, we propose an amplitude modulation scheme and can be performed parallelly by using a series of Pockels cells biased by various message signals, for sending many messages at a time successfully through a single-carrier signal.
