摘要
The use of drones has recently generated interest in several engineering applications such as defense, commercial, automotive, etc. These are being installed as an aerial relay in wireless communication to improve the efficiency and coverage of wireless communication devices. Drone Assisted-Cooperative Communication (DA-CC), where the drone is deployed as an aerial relay node, has been considered in this paper. The output in the hybrid channel setting is being investigated for the classical three-node system, and the results obtained have been compared with the existing faded channel model of Rayleigh and Nakagami. Amplify-and-Forward (AF) relaying scheme at relay (drone) node is considered in the present study. Maximal Ratio Mixing (MRC) has been applied to merge direct and relay path signals at the destination node. For analysis purposes, the analytical expression of the outage probability and rate has been derived successfully. In addition, the statistical characteristics of AF noise are also derived. Further, Montecarlo simulations have been carried out to verify the analytical results. It is expected that the outcome of the present work finds the application in the field of security and surveillance, employing drone-assisted communication.
