Screening of the Coulomb interaction accounting for the Friedel oscillations in the structures with multicomponent low-dimensional electron plasma is considered. Calculations are made for nanotubes, double quantum wells (DQW) and superlattices. We consider also screening of an impurity potential by neutral particles—indirect dipolar excitons, as well as Friedel oscillations in a hybrid electron–exciton system.
