摘要:
This study is performance evaluation by internal and external indicators in the schemes of Lower Fetam and Leza. The indicators used to evaluate the performance at the field levels by conveyance, application, and storage indicators and comparative indicators. In the study, nine Farmers’ fields were selected from each irrigation scheme with their site from Head, middle, and lower water users. The conveyance efficiencies were 78.67% and 81.14% for Lower Fetam and Leza schemes. The application efficiencies were 64.96% and 58.8%, storage efficiencies were 23.37% and 27.98%, and overall efficiencies were 51.75% and 47.71% for Lower Fetam and Leza schemes. The minimum comparative indicators were, the water use indicator RWS and RIS were 1.81and 1.61 for Lower Fetam and 1.22 and 0.91 for the Leza irrigation scheme respectively. Irrigation Ratio was 0.41 and 0.43 for Lower Fetam and Leza, respectively. Outputs per cropped area were 2010.93USD$/ha for Lower Fetam and 1876.17USD$/ha for Leza and of the output per command area were 831.2USD$/ha for Lower Fetam and 808.2USD$/ha for Leza. Outputs per Irrigation supplies in the Lower Fetam and Leza scheme were 0.172USD$/m3 and 0.194USD$/m3. Outputs per water consumed were 0.25USD$/m3 23 and 0.22USD$/m3 24 for Lower Fetam and Leza. Performance of the schemes requires proper management.
