摘要
Organ recipients rely on life-long immunosuppressive therapy in order to avoid organ rejection and graft loss. This report focuses on the current standards in immunosuppression and discusses new findings made in recent years. The field of immunosuppression is constantly changing. The main objective of intensive clinical research is not only choosing the correct immunosuppressive drug combination, but also establishing an appropriate level of effectiveness in order to avoid over-immunosuppression, which is associated with a significant increase in adverse reactions.
