Bianchi Type III Dust Filled Universe with Time Dependent Λ in C-Field Cosmology

A model formed by creation field and variable cosmological constant with perfect fluid is investigated. Bianchi type III space time is used as a source of investigation. To get deterministic model, a relation between shear (σ) and expansion (θ) is assumed. The model permits both decelerating and accelerated phases. The creation field increases with time which matches with the result as per Hoyle–Narlikar theory. The value of cosmological constant is in excellent agreement with the measurements recently obtained by High-Z Supernovae Team and Supernovae Cosmological project. The singularity in the model is explained in the context of C-field cosmology. The universe passes through a singular event t = −b/a. Since the creation field exists all the time so there is a big crunch between t = −b/a and t = −∞ and it passes through singular event t = −b/a and creation is going on till t = ∞. The cosmological constant Λ changes its sign as the model permits such type of scenario and this change is allowed from t = −∞ to t = −b/a and t = −b/a to t = ∞ due to existence of creation field all the time. The cosmological constant Λ ~ t−2 in absence of C-field which matches with the result obtained by Bertolami (Fortschr Phys 34:829–833, 1986).
