Purported “melamine cyanuric acid trihydrochloride” C3H6N6⋅C3H3N3O3⋅3HCl is actually “diprotonated-melamine cyanuric acid dichloride dihydrate” (C3H8N6)2+⋅C3H3N3O3⋅2Cl−⋅2H2O

摘要
On the basis of the published results, melamine cyanuric acid trihydrochloride (MCA⋅3HCl) is shown to be better described as diprotonated melamine cyanuric acid dichloride dihydrate (C3H8N6)2+⋅C3H3N3O3⋅2Cl−⋅2H2O. Details are given of the revised hydrogen bonding scheme, which requires further elaboration.
