Using the fixed point method, we prove the generalized Hyers-Ulam stability of homomorphisms in [inline-graphic not available: see fulltext]-algebras and Lie [inline-graphic not available: see fulltext]-algebras and of derivations on [inline-graphic not available: see fulltext]-algebras and Lie [inline-graphic not available: see fulltext]-algebras for the Cauchy functional equation.
