摘要
Late-life mood disorders are prevalent and can also have a major impact on an individual's physical health, family and society as a whole. Many symptoms commonly seen in depressive disorders are similar to the symptoms seen with medical illnesses. Numerous elements make up a complete geriatric mental health work-up. The major treatment options are psychotherapy, pharmacotherapy and neuromodulation. These approaches are evaluated to aid the clinician in making recommendations for evaluation and treatment. © 2014 Springer Science+Business Media New York.
