Differences and similarities between the parameters of turbulence and turbulent viscosity of an isothermic jet and a burning-fuel torch have been analyzed on the basis of experimental data. It is proposed to use the dependences obtained for calculating the temperature fields in torches of gaseous fuels. © 2009 Springer Science+Business Media, Inc.
