摘要
Abstract: This work describes an efficient approach for the modeling and analysis of asymmetrical induction machines operation under stator short-circuits faults. Theoretical and experimental studies have been investigated for extracting signatures on the line currents, electromagnetic torque, decrease and mechanical speed. The novelty of this approach is that the increase of the machine neutral point voltage during faulty conditions is considered by using line to line voltages as inputs in the state model. Different phenomenons such as magnetic saturation, slotting and skin effects can be considered by an appropriate calculation of machine inductances. This model is less complicated to be implemented for condition monitoring or to validate fault tolerant control algorithms. Experimental study is investigated for the analysis of stator currents and flux density. For this purpose, two flux sensors are placed in the stator periphery according to stationary axes α–β. Simulation and experimental results show the efficiency of this approach in comparison with other approaches such as finite elements or symmetrical components methods. © 2023, Allerton Press, Inc.
