The paper considers the built-in tools of underwater acoustic (UWA) modems used to measure the clock offset between interacting modems during data communication as applied to synchronization and synchronized control of distributed sensors, long-base positioning and autonomous underwater vehicle control. © 2014, Pleiades Publishing, Ltd.
