摘要
The steering performance of a small multi-function hydraulic chassis was studied. In order to improve the accuracy of chassis steering test and simplify the test process, the test system is designed. The system consists of controller, angle measurement module, speed measurement module, data display module and data transmission module. Proximity switch is used to measure speed, and three-axis magnetoresistive sensor is used to measure steering angle. The results of steering performance test show that: the steering accuracy reaches more than 90%, and the steering angular speed fluctuates. With the increase in the steering radius, the steering stability and accuracy are improved. When the chassis is in situ steering at the minimum operating speed 0.2 m/s, the minimum rotation period of the chassis is 13.71 s. When the radius is small, the fluctuation range of steering angular speed in the field is smaller than that on hard road. With the radius increasing, the steering stability on hard road is increased, and the steering stability in the field is reduced. The designed steering test system can timely and accurately provide the steering parameter information. The designed hydraulic chassis can better meet the requirements for fast and frequent steering in small radius and small range. © 2023, The Institution of Engineers (India).
