摘要
The fluorescence quantum yields of nitro-substituted Fluoresceins depends on their structure, degree of protonation, solvent nature, aggregative state, and temperature. A scheme is proposed for the energy levels in the molecules of these compounds, which involves closely located S1(ππ*) and T(nπ*) states and their possible inversion.
