Schur-Convexity for a Class of Symmetric Functions and Its Applications

For [inline-graphic not available: see fulltext], the symmetric function [inline-graphic not available: see fulltext] is defined by [inline-graphic not available: see fulltext], where [inline-graphic not available: see fulltext] and [inline-graphic not available: see fulltext] are positive integers. In this article, the Schur convexity, Schur multiplicative convexity and Schur harmonic convexity of [inline-graphic not available: see fulltext] are discussed. As applications, some inequalities are established by use of the theory of majorization.
