Nach dem Auftreten von zahlreichen Lungenerkrankungen und sogar Todesfällen ist der Konsum von E-Zigaretten derzeit ein Dauerbrenner in den Schlagzeilen. Das sogenannte Dampfen gilt eigentlich als harmlosere Alternative zum herkömmlichen Zigarettenrauchen. Inzwischen ist klar, dass die gesundheitlichen Folgen teils unterschätzt wurden und dass diesbezüglich noch Forschungsbedarf besteht. Das aber darf keinesfalls ein Grund dafür sein, zum herkömmlichen Rauchen zurückzukehren. Für die E-Zigarette gibt es durchaus einen legitimen Einsatz.
