摘要
What is already known on this subject? Increased quality of care is needed to improve maternal and newborn health. Many women in low- and middle-income countries deliver at lower-level, private health facilities. Understanding timeliness of delivery in private sector facilities and factors influencing maternal and newborn health outcomes represent gaps in knowledge.
