The determination of tumor markers in serum is an essential component of the diagnostics, follow-up control and therapy monitoring of malignant tumors. Prostate-specific antigen (PSA) is an organ-specific marker, which is used in the diagnostics of prostate cancer and is characterized by high sensitivity and specificity. © 2017, Springer Medizin Verlag GmbH.
