摘要
This paper presents a new lattice model by considering the multiple density difference effect in the two-lane traffic systems. We derive the stability condition and the mKdV equation near the critical point by the linear and nonlinear analysis, respectively. The results of the theoretical analysis manifest that the stable region is enlarged and traffic congestion is suppressed. Also, energy consumption and traffic emission are analyzed and are reduced by multiple density difference effect. The reason is that with considering more vehicles, more comprehensive information could be obtained for drivers to increase speed. This will be helpful to enhance the stability and reduce energy consumption as well as traffic emission. Numerical simulations validate theoretical analysis. We also discover that multiple density difference effect of three sites ahead is enough to improve traffic flow.
