摘要
There is abundant evidence that the vitamin D system plays a role in the pathogenesis of osteoporosis, being more likely to play a more direct role in age-related osteoporosis than in other forms. The rationale behind the value of using these compounds for the treatment of osteoporosis has been presented. Finally, the approach of new analogs that might be effective against this disorder suggests that the active form of vitamin D and its analogs will play an important role in the treatment of these diseases.
