摘要
This research explores the incorporation of rice straw and rice straw ash into conventional bricks, aiming to evaluate their mechanical properties, environmental impact, and feasibility as sustainable construction materials. Central Composite Face-Centered Design (CCFD) combined with Response Surface Methodology (RSM) is employed to investigate the effects of rice straw and rice straw ash on thermal conductivity, water absorption, and compressive strength. The inclusion of rice straw fibers enhances mechanical properties, while the high silica content of rice straw ash provides excellent thermal insulation properties. The results demonstrate that the incorporation of rice straw and rice straw ash in the composite bricks leads to a decrease in thermal conductivity, enhancing the energy efficiency of buildings by reducing heat transfer through the material. Moreover, the increased water absorption observed with the addition of these materials can provide benefits such as improved moisture regulation and dampening effects, which may be advantageous in specific climates or environments. The decrease of rice straw and increase of rice straw ash in the composite brick formulation also result in an increase in compressive strength, making the bricks more robust and durable. The research findings contribute to the development of sustainable construction materials and promote the efficient utilization of agricultural waste, paving the way for widespread adoption of rice straw and rice straw ash composite bricks in the construction industry.
