Vapor bubble growth at the surface of flat and cylindrical heaters

摘要
The growth dynamics are investigated of a sole vapor bubble in a nonuniform temperature field. A two-zone model is developed of the bubble growth on the solid surface. The calculation results are in satisfactory agreement with the experimental data available for the flat and cylindrical heaters. The influence is considered of the evaporation front occurring under high overheating on the bubble growth dynamics.
