摘要
The prospects of using artificial intelligence for the design engineering process are considered based on the context of global trends. The expediency and feasibility of its implementation, as well as the associated risks and challenges in relation to nuclear power plants, which are among the most technically sophisticated and dangerous facilities in the world, are analyzed. The main components of the design engineering process are considered as possible applications of artificial intelligence. Specific examples are used to describe the necessary steps of implementation. Special attention is paid to the process approach as a way of adapting various design methodologies to the implementation of this technology. A fragment of the deterministic fire hazard analysis adapted to use the process approach is presented as an example. © 2023, Springer Science+Business Media, LLC, part of Springer Nature.
