The chromatic number of the real plane, which is defined as the minimum number of colors into which one can paint all the points of the plane so that the distance between monochromatic points is other than 1 has been reported. The desired value is called the chromatic number of the metric space with the set of forbidden distances. Linear algebra in combinatories makes it possible to say much more about the asymptotics in n.
