Optimization of Process Parameters on Nano-Al2O3 Particles Composite Coating

摘要
This article highlights the studies on the influence of coating parameters along with surface roughness on the coating thickness and microhardness. The thickness of the coating was found to increase by 112.72% with increase in surface roughness. The increase in microhardness is found to be 40.20% and 65.13% with increase in particle concentration and current density, respectively. The maximum MH is noticed at higher bath temperature and current density of 50 °C and 2 A/dm2, respectively. The maximum thickness is achieved at the higher particle loading of 6 g/l at roughness of 0.48 μm and 1 A/dm2 of current density.
