Synthesis of a Novel Double Z-Scheme TiO2/Bi2O3-g-C3N4 Photocatalyst with Enhanced Photocatalytic Performance to Rhodamine B Under Sunlight

The Z-scheme TiO2/Bi2O3-g-C3N4 ternary heterojunction photocatalyst was successfully constructed by sol–gel method and solvothermal method. The structure, morphology, chemical composition, optical properties of photocatalyst were characterized by XRD, TEM(HRTEM), SAED, XPS, EDX, UV–vis, FTIR, PL, EIS. And the photocatalytic performance of the photocatalyst was studied by using RhB as a simulated organic pollutant. The results show that the prepared ternary heterojunction photocatalyst has high photocatalytic activity under both ultraviolet light and visible light, and the degradation rate reaches 100% in 100 min. This paper also proposes a possible Z-scheme mechanism of a ternary heterojunction photocatalyst to explain the increased photocatalytic activity.
