This article presents an overview of the diagnostic and therapeutic methods used by manual medicine (MM)/chirotherapy for the elbow region. These methods are described in seminars for physicians or physiotherapists from the point of view of the three schools of MM of the German Society of Manual Medicine. The authors distinct between Common, orientation and specific diagnostics and the therapeutic approach to joints and muscles are distinguished. The relations to other regions are also taken into consideration. © Springer Medizin Verlag 2006.
