The hyperfine structure (hfs) and Zeeman splitting of 10 lines of Bi I covering the ultraviolet-near-infrared spectral range-359.6, 412.2, 430.9, 449.3, 472.3, 555.2, 613.5, 699.1, 965.7, and 982.8 nm-have been measured. We used a standard spectroscopic technique supported by a sensitive CCD detection system and precise computer analysis. The Zeeman effect studies were performed for the transverse direction of observation and separated pi(Delta M = 0) and sigma(Delta M = +/- 1) components of lines. The magnetic-dipole (A) hfs constants as well as Lande-g(J) factors of Bi I were determined for 10 levels: 32588.22, 41124.99, 42940.52, 43912.37, 44865.08, 45915.88, 49460.91, 50599.67, 55424.3, and 56088.2 cm(-1).
