摘要
Discrepancies were observed between two different approaches used to study the possibility of a power law scaling in the overlapping part of the inner and outer regions of wall-bounded turbulent flows. Using data obtained from measurements in a zero pressure gradient turbulent boundary layer, it was stated that the conclusions drawn from one of the studies may be incorrect. The comments that address the statements questioning the accuracy of the proposed approach are provided. The comments focus on four key points, namely, the power- or log-law behavior, the value of k, the universal form of the power scaling law, and the Γ-function.
