摘要：
Preterm premature rupture of membranes (PPROM) represents approximately 33% of preterm births and is a major factor contributing to perinatal morbidity and mortality. Many studies have been done in order to establish the best treatment option for the patients with PPROM. Yet, there are some controversies regarding this issue. Improving neonatal outcome by minimizing the infectious and prematurity risks is the main target. Management alternatives of pregnancies complicated with PPROM include immediate delivery and conservative treatment. The use of antenatal corticosteroids and antibiotics improve neonatal outcome, while tocolitycs have limited value in expectant management of PPROM.
