摘要：
The paper describes the current knowledge about the role of oxidative stress in the pathogenesis of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease and its role in the development of emphysema. The basic mechanisms leading to overproduction of lice oxidant radicals in tobacco smokers' airways are underlined.
