摘要
The paper is concerned with experimental and numerical investigations of the flow around an immersed broad-crested weir with different cavities, in the presence of free surface. The numerics are performed with the Fluent code using the RNG k-epsilon turbulence model coupled with VOF for the computation of the free surface. The numerical results and visualizations are corroborated with the aim to investigate the interaction between the free surface profile and the wake developed in the cavities of the broad-crested weir.
