We report high resolution (delta(v) over tilde <= 0.001 cm(-1)) Fourier Transform Infrared (FTIR) spectra of the trifluoromethane (fluoroform) isotopomer (CHF3)-C-13 including results from synchrotron based spectroscopy at the Swiss light source (SLS). The analysis is extended to the pure rotational spectra in the Terahertz (far-infrared) range (15-100 cm(-1), delta(v) over tilde (FWHM) = 0.0006 cm(-1)), the v(3) fundamental ((v) over tilde (o) = 695.292 cm(-1)), the associated "hot" band 2v(3) - v(3) providing information on the level 2v(3) ((v) over tilde (o) = 1389.807 cm(-1)) and the v(4) fundamental ((v) over tilde (o)= 1369.013 cm(-1)) coupled to 2v(3). The results are discussed in relation to the C-13 isotope effect on the vibrational quantum dynamics as derived by theory and in relation to fluoroform as a greenhouse gas. (C) 2017 Elsevier Inc.
