摘要
Power quality issues are of critical concern in most distribution systems. This paper addresses the simulation of a DSSSC that is aimed at mitigating many power quality problems, such as voltage sags, voltage flickers and harmonic compensation. The modelling and simulation of a DSSSC was performed using SIMULINK & MATLAB. The proposed DSSSC is installed between the incoming supply and a sensitive load to mitigate and protect the sensitive load against power quality problems, The performance of the proposed method is investigated using different types of controllers, including both Proportional Integral control (PI) and quadratic control. The simulation results from the proposed model demonstrated the performance of the DSSSC. Its effectiveness at power quality compensation will allow for appropriate operation of the proposed control systems. (C) 2014 Elsevier Ltd. All rights reserved.
