摘要
Traditional type solar cookers are available in the market, but there are so many drawbacks such as they require large cooking time and they work only in the presence of solar radiation. For day and night solar cooking competent and consistent thermal storage systems are required for solar cooker application to overcome their existing discontinuous nature and abrupt change in weather conditions with the help of Phase Change Material (PCM). Again there are some drawbacks of PCM such as high melting point, low thermal conductivity. Such properties of energy storing materials have to be revamped with the help of the nano materials. So that large amount of solar energy stored in the energy storing materials and the solar cooker works properly and efficiently. As per designed of parabolic concentrating type solar cooker with nano-mixed phase change materials as thermal energy storage medium is a good alternative to the conventional cooking methods and also with the solar cookers system that does not store thermal energy. The solar cooker is designed as per cooking requirements of a small family with materials that are commonly available in the market. Design of this system is to be done by taking consideration of cooking requirement of rice for small family i.e. 4 persons only. Design solar cooker system is cooking two foods at a time and also handling of thermal energy storage tank for indoor cooking. As per the observations recorded rice & dal requires 17 & 20 minutes respectively for cooking of 200 gin of each at day time. Also temperature drop for rice and dal 56 & 67 degrees C respectively for complete cooking in day time. As per the observations recorded rice and dal requires 19 and 22 minutes respectively for cooking at night time. Also temperature drop for rice and dal required 60, 70 degrees C respectively for complete cooking at night time.
